School districts to provide space for programs

A school district with students who reside within the school district's boundaries and are served by the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind shall make a good faith effort to provide the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind with space required for programs offered by the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind.
(1) A school district with students who reside within the school district's boundaries and are served by the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind shall: (a) make a good faith effort to provide the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind with space required for programs offered by the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind; and (b) enter into an agreement with the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind to memorialize the terms of use for the space described in Subsection (1)(a).
(2)
(a) After conducting the exhaustive search described in Section 53E-8-205, the state board may identify a school district with a critical number of students receiving services from the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind.
(b) A school district described in Subsection (2)(a) shall enter into an agreement to provide a segment of school district property for the construction of a facility on or adjacent to the property of a high school where the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind may operate as the designated LEA for students in the surrounding region near the facility.
