(1) Where public sidewalks are provided, no person may walk along or upon an adjacent roadway.

(2) Where public sidewalks are not provided, any pedestrian walking along and upon a highway shall, when practicable, walk only on the left side of the roadway or its shoulder facing the direction of possible oncoming traffic. Added 1971, No. 258 (Adj. Sess.), § 3, eff. March 1, 1973.
