(1) A person who, not being certified, holds himself or herself out to the public as being certified under this chapter shall be liable for a fine of not more than $10,000.00.

(2) In addition to the penalty provided in subsection (a) of this section, the Attorney General or a State’s Attorney may bring a civil action to restrain continuing violations of this section. Added 2003, No. 34, § 1, eff. May 23, 2003; amended 2011, No. 61, § 3, eff. June 2, 2011.
