Advisor appointees

(1) The Secretary of State shall appoint three persons to be advisors to the Director, two of whom shall be well drillers and one of whom shall be a representative of the Agency of Natural Resources. Advisors shall be appointed to five-year staggered terms to serve at the Secretary's pleasure as advisors in matters related to the administration of this chapter. Two of the initial appointments shall be for a term of fewer than five years.

(2) A well driller advisor appointee shall have not fewer than three years' experience as a well driller immediately preceding appointment, shall be licensed as a well driller in Vermont during incumbency, and shall be actively engaged in the practice as a well driller during incumbency.
