As used in this chapter:
(1) “Child” means a person under 18 years of age committed by the Juvenile Court to the Department for Children and Families.

(2) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner for Children and Families.

(4) “Foster care” means care of a child, for a valuable consideration, in a child care institution or in a family other than that of the child’s parent, guardian, or relative. (4) “Foster care” means care of a child, for a valuable consideration, in a child care institution or in a family other than that of the child’s parent, guardian, or relative.
