In addition to appointments in time of war under chapter 339 of this title, appointments of reserve officers may be made in time of war.

Repeal of Section
Section repealed effective Oct. 1, 1996, see note set out preceding section 3351 of this title.
The exception as to chapter 339 of this title is inserted for clarity. The word “persons” is omitted as surplusage.
