Section 6435 · Authorization of appropriations

There are authorized to be appropriated to the Commission $3,000,000 for the fiscal year 2003 to carry out the provisions of this subchapter.
Amounts authorized to be appropriated under subparagraph (a) of this section are authorized to remain available until expended but not later than the date of termination of the Commission.
There are authorized to be appropriated to the Commission $3,500,000 for each of the fiscal years 2025 and 2026 to carry out the provisions of this chapter and section 6433a of this title.
Amounts authorized to be appropriated under subsection (a) shall remain available until the earlier of—
the date on which they have been expended; or
the date on which the Commission is terminated under section 6436 of this title.
In each fiscal year, the Commission shall only be authorized to expend amounts that have been appropriated pursuant to subsection (a) if the Commission—
complies with the requirements set forth in section 6433a of this title; and
submits the annual financial report required under section 6435a(e) of this title to the appropriate congressional committees.
