This subchapter applies with respect to all forms and manifestations of spina bifida except spina bifida occulta.

Amendments
2000—Pub. L. 106–419, which directed the substitution of “this subchapter” for “this chapter”, was executed by substituting “This subchapter” for “This chapter”, to reflect the probable intent of Congress.
Effective Date of 2000 Amendment
