Corning is a city with nearly 7,000 people in Tehama County, California, United States. The population was 6,741 at the 2000 census. Corning hosts a beautiful downtown intermodal station, opened in 1998, that hosts dedicated Amtrak Thruway Motorcoaches linking to Amtrak California Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin trains at Sacramento, California and the county's local bus system TRAX.
