Folly Beach is a city in Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,117 at the 2000 census. As defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, Folly Beach, located on historic Folly Island, is included within the Charleston-North Charleston Urbanized Area and the larger Charleston–North Charleston–Summerville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
