A determination of a person’s legal settlement made in accordance with section 230.2 or 230.3 shall be sent by the court or the county to the county auditor of the county of legal settlement. The certification shall be accompanied by a copy of the evidence supporting the determination. The auditor shall provide the certification to the board of supervisors of the auditor’s county, and it shall be conclusively presumed that the person has a legal settlement in the notified county unless that county disputes the finding of legal settlement as provided in section 225C.8.
